Students block rectors elections (Athens, 30/6/2008)

The rectors elections at ASOEE (economy faculty) were called off, after groups of students squated the halls were the elections were to take place, before the ballot boxes were even set, around 6:30 in the morning, and sealed the classes. Around 11:00 a group of some 40-50 members of DAP-NDFK (right-wing government party study youth) tried to break the student's (mostly leftists) blockage but were repelled.
